Doggy doo doo........

I love our dogs, they both have amazing individual personalities. They are 80% good and 20% nightmare! (this is common with most dogs I think)

Tonight, it was planned for the spaniel to go to the vet. We are lucky that the vet is only a 10/15 minute walk away. Especially as i got a text from LSP at 4.55 to say that I had to take the dog to the vet as they were unwell. The dog had to be at the vet for 5.40!

I rushed home to collect the spaniel to walk him briskly to the vet........

Usually we walk our dogs together, If we do them separately then the 20% kicks in. Unfortunately you cannot take them to the vet together as the Labrador is a tart! she loves attention and does not like it if another dog is getting any, especially from a stranger (including boys).

so the extracting of 1 dog from the house is difficult to say the least, I did get 1 dog to the front door and the other in the sitting room. However, it was the wrong dog in the wrong place!

Getting the right dog in the right place (outside) had to do done quickly and involved the clever use of doggy treats!.

Ok, so I am outside, with the right dog on the lead speeding down the street. What I had not managed to do was pick up any dog poo bags. But that's ok, i always have some in some pocket or other......

So he does his business (stop reading now if you are eating your tea) and i search through my pockets for a poop bag. After much searching, I come to the conclusion that i do not have one!!!!

Hmm what do I have, I know a tissue, yes that will do, its not to far to the nearest poop bin. So I bend over in full view of all of the traffic picking up poo with a tissue and then carrying it down the street, which included crossing the road. Funnily enough the cars stopped for me, its amazing what carrying poop does to driver's!

So I make it to the poop bin with a clean if not smelly hand, then carry on to the vet. vet trip went well was just his 6 month check. on the way out I picked up a poop bag, just in case!

However, I know our dogs well and they only have 1 poop on a 30 minute walk.

We get home and I quickly swap the dogs over and take the Labrador out for her walk.

We walk, she does her business, I bag it with my bag from the vet and pop it in the dog bin!

We carry on walking, I am grumbling a bit as I am in my work shoes and the walk is very very muddy.
We carry on and then she stops.....and goes to the loo again!

A 2nd poop and no bag..........so i go back through my pockets, no tissues left, I go through again....Ha a wotsits packet!!! Yes I used a wotsists packet, but at least this time there was no one around to see...

I came home, put some bags in my pocket and washed my hands 3 times......love Dogs......

Hmm, As explained yesterday, cold got worse combined with rain and hail, put a stop to the outdoor jobs. I did manage to achieve some things this weekend...

On Saturday morning I started with some restorative lemon verbena tea....

The flowers that were bought for the cemetery then brightened up the windowsill...

Then a brunch of bacon, spinach and mushroom... It is the nicest, breakfast/brunch ever....

I then tried to sort out the dog toys and remove the toys that are seldom played with or are to dirty......

The dogs found this very interesting and tried to destroy my efforts....

I did manage to change the sheets.....

You can't beat getting into freshly made and ironed sheets... bliss.

Then seeing England beat France at the rugby...

Sorted out the odd socks in the odd socks bag......(which was a special Christmas pressie)

I then retreated to the sofa for the evening.......

This morning...started off bright and sunny.....

So I dusted off a handbag...

So we went off to the farmer's market....

However, despite the bright start, the weather took a significant turn for the worse..... rain and even hail!!!!

We then went to grab a cup of tea......

Then, we came home to do the cooking, and wrap up some pressie's, including wrapping up the stuff for the blog swap.....

So although I managed less then half the list...It was not an idle weekend....

cats and dogs...

Good Morning all.

I am sat on my settee with a rug on my knees feeling very sorry for myself. All I have is a cold nothing serious but enough to make me feel very crappy. LSP is also unwell so it is going to be a quieter weekend at our house.

The children have a busy weekend planned and part of my to do list has flown out of the window as the dog groomer has had puppy's so is unable to groom the dog!(I think it may have been the dog groomers dog who had the puppy's to be precise). As my cold has progressed into my chest I now cannot go and see my grandmother as I cannot risk passing it on to her!

We managed to do the shopping last night after work and before taking the Labrador to the vet for her 6 month check.

The dogs are both curled up and quiet at the moment, which is a relief as they are not pestering us for their early morning walk.

As you can see the spaniel is looking very much in need of his trim....

Our Labrador however is looking perfect as usual......

I have been awake from very early this morning due to my cold, I put the tv on and drifted in and out of sleep. I discovered that fireman Sam can produce the most bizarre dreams....

It had something to do with cats....and a woman with the most bizarre voice. As a result, I ended up dreaming about a woman hiding cats in my sitting room, there were cats in the cupboard, cats on the shelf, cats on the tv and cats behind the sofa....

When I awoke I could still hear the woman's voice and I had that odd interface between waking and sleeping.... and looked around for the cats!.

I had better start the day proper now, the beachams is starting to take effect, I will move the outdoor jobs till tomorrow as its raining cats and dogs out there!

Sniff..........Sniff....Achoo......

Urghhhh I have been slowly surrounding myself with tissue's and making odd groaning noises which can only mean 1 thing. I have a cold!!!!

I am not ill enough to be off work but well enough to go in and infect all my colleges. The worst thing about having a cold is not the feeling lousy, its the short temper and whingeing.

however i am not going to blog about my hot head, flushed cheeks, sore throat, heavy chest, runny nose, achy limbs, etc....oops.

Instead i am going to focus upon my to do list for the weekend......

Go food shopping,
Take dog to the groomer's,

House jigsaw,

Isn't it amazing how our homes fit together. Our house is a mix of colour's and patterns and shapes.

We are Lucky, we live in an old house and it all just fits nicely together.

Its amazing how houses evolve over the years, you would never walk into an interiors shop and pull all these together, I am tempted to mood board the rooms in our house and see all these elements fit together.

This is a part of the Jigsaw that is our home!

Short photo blog tonight as I have sewing to do ahead of the blog swap that's coming up!. Happy Wednesday everyone.

Today I.........

I was inspired by, A Thrifty Mrs (sorry cant do links) blog yesterday. Today I, here is my.....

Today I woke up, had a shower, got dressed, walked to the buss stop, arrived at work 12 minutes early (school holidays make for lighter traffic).

Did work.......Then at Lunch.........I watched Pigeon's having a bath in a puddle..........

Then after work I went for a walk...........

I saw the biggest Goat in the world, unfortunately I had my compact camera so you cannot imagine the scale, This Goat is the size of a tall skinny Shetland pony with horns.......

I saw some shy lambs......yes they are blurry as i said they were shy.........

Then I got home and checked on the garden.....

Watched a plane fly overhead.........

Checked on the neighbours.......

Then went inside, to order a takeaway, put my feet up, and write a blog..........
