post holiday blues.......
Today, I have the post holiday blues.
I looked at my leave sheet and after my charity cycle I only have 3 days leave left to take me through till April 2012. What with us having a late holiday this year it feels like its not very evenly spread.
The weather is turning and as much as I love the winter the shortening days and the list of winter jobs to do gets longer.
1. dogs need their pre winter trim
2. get the chimney's swept.
3 reblacken the fire
4. order a half trailer of split logs
5 get the doors painted and fitted.
6. get the grass cut,
7. empty the lawnmower for the winter
8. weed
9. plant spring bulbs
10. cover the garden furniture
11. trim the conifers (now the sap is not rising)
12. finally finish decorating the dining room prior to Christmas.
13 finish the hallway once the doors have been done.
14. bake Christmas cakes
15.....everything else that needs doing that I can no longer think of.
Christmas shopping is nearly finished, I just need to start wrapping it all. I like to have all of the shopping done and wrapped by December. While we were on holiday, I wrapped up all of the presents my mother in law has bought for people. (MIL likes to be organised as well.)
I wish I was still on holiday :(

Bye bye winter.
The skies are blue, the birds are nesting and the bulb's are blossoming.
However it is also important to say bye bye to Winter!
I love spring but also love winter as well. the crisp mornings and the views.
Winter view's go on for miles. The skeleton tree's without their leaves.
I love the fact I can see through hedgerow's and into streams.
I love the feeling of space. Its best on a frosty morning when the air is crisp and everything has a tinge of white and feels clean.
I love the light as it stream's through and the sun spots as they bounce of the lens of the camera.
I love to watch the birds and squirrels as the scamper through the branches.
However, I also love the way the brown strip of wood's slowly turns to green.
The dusting of may is appearing in the hedgerow's.
I do like spring but I think its ok to miss winter as well.
P.S Just to warn you tomorrow will be a sad blog.
P.P.S I am still not shopping.
P.P.P.S I will be crafting this weekend!
