more nostalgia

Well today was a lovely spring day, lots of sun and fresh air.

I however felt rotten, The most time I spent outside was hanging out a load of washing. I pottered around the house this morning and inspired by the weather, started to bag up the winter woolies and get out the summer clothes.

After lunch I had a 2 hour sleep, thankfully I am back to my GP on Friday.

But enough of my moaning!

Yesterday, after finding the photo's from the loft I was inspired to look through some of my old pictures and will share them with you.

I love this picture of me, everything from the shoe's and long socks to my white blond hair, there were several pictures taken at this time and there was a lovely one of me and my Dad looking at the roses in the Garden.

This is me all dressed for a wedding, The wedding was all the way in the north of Scotland.

I love this photo of me, I am pictured where I was happiest, down on the farm.

This is me on my uncle's space hopper in my Nan's garden.

This is me at School on Sports day, our sports day's were fun, they would have egg and spoon races and running with a quoit on your head, parents races and sack races. I was very proud to have won 3rd place in the dressing up race, you would have to run and put on the item's of clothing, eg scarf, hat, dress...

Hopefully blogs will return to normal soon!

I hope other's will be inspired to dig out the odd baby photo or 2.....

Hope the rest of you have made the most of the sun.

A forgotten packet of photographs,

Older Daughter, is getting ready to fly the nest....

One of the consequences of this move is the need to be taking things up and down from the loft. This morning when she was taking some things down she came across an old packet of photographs in a box.
These photo's were taken by my mum, I just had to scan some and share them with you! In those Days photo's were taken few and far between so I have no idea how long this film was in the camera or where we went!

This is me!!! In my favourite ever dress, it was red crepe with small black spots, It was from chelsea girl and I loved it. I love how much hair I had, all frizzy and curly. All I will say about the glasses is that they were fashionable at the time! Deirdre Barlow had nothing on me!

It is a bad photo but shows the dress in all its glory, I remember the skirt was full circle so if you spun round fast enough you would flash your pants. The dress zipped up the back but not all the way as there was a tie in-between the shoulders. I really wish I had kept the dress,  and also wish I could still fit into it!

My mum was not the best of photographer's.

In those days I would not leave the house without make up on!

This is one I took of mum.

Remember the photo's of my niece I posted the other day? Here are some photo's of her mum.

Wasn't she gorgeous my niece is lucky as she as 2 very beautiful parents.

Headache update- headache not responsive to painkiller's and makes everything take 3 times as long.
