Today I took my bike to work!
It was an interesting experience... it was a hot day, so good to get some hot cycling in before Vietnam!
ok, the interesting thing was leaving my bike. I am not used to leaving her (yes my bike is a she) Normally we go from the house of from the car, we ride around and then put them back. if we stop for a rest we sit with them be it at a pub, a harbour or under a tree. So this morning I had to lock up and leave my bike while I went to a meeting.
I was worried. leaving her all on her own.
This is her all tied up with her lock on the back and an extra loop for the front.....
Why was I so Worried??? What hot bed of crime did I leave her at.?
The Police Station.
Personally I would have liked to take her in to the meeting with me....she was all on her own, miles away from the entrance and visible to the world!
She was fine, I took this photo just in case she was stolen and I had to tell the insurance company I could evidence I had secured her correctly. anyway, the rest of the day she was placed safely in a cupboard! When I came back from the police station I was making puddles of sweat.....not a good look....A quick wet, wipe wash and a change of top and I was back to work.
What made it all worth while was not just getting my miles in during the day (15 in total) but my ride home.
I took a park and woodland route home, It was beautiful. The only problem with the low lying sun is that I was blind for half my journey... but when I could see...it was worth it. just look at my highlights from my cycle ride home.

my main vice
Most people have a vice, a guilty pleasure something they find hard to do without....
I can live without, new clothes, chocolate, nights out, dinner dates, shopping.... As we are wanting to save money we will have to! however, I will struggle to give up my weekends away.
they are expensive and indulgent...but give me so much pleasure!
I love crisp white sheets, soft towels, nice rooms, sea views, nice service, sea views, and all those other things that make a weekend something very special...
This weekend we stayed at 17 Wilmington Square, Eastbourne. (I think it would make a great title for a book) Its our 2nd time there. Here are some of its highlights....

Museum of Shops.
If you ever find yourself in Eastbourne make sure you visit the museum of shops. (this is not a sponsored blog I just liked it so much I had to share it with everyone)
The Museum has over 100,000 exhibits displayed on FOUR floors of authentic shops, room-settings and with various displays covering 100 years of shopping and social history.

I could have spent hours in there. There was so much to see. I loved the things I could remember for my childhood, the things I had seen in old photo's from my parents and grandparents houses as well as stuff that was stuck at the back of my mum's cupboard!
I loved some of the make do and mend items such as the Pot mender's.
Could you imagine using your cooking pots for years and then when it develops a hole nipping down to the hardware store and getting some pot menders.
when was the last time you darned a sock?
What was also amazing was listening. I listened to the older people who were reminiscing about things that they had and had used. I could have spent the day there! So if you find yourself at a loose end and want to spend an hour or two then get yourself down there. Its the best £5 you can spend!

Tissue Monster goes south!
The House has been invaded by the tissue monster!
Its creator- Me!!!!
At the moment, my eye's itch, my nose itches and so do my ears...I sniff, I sneeze and I cough I splutter, my throat feels like razors......
I have a cold.
and a cold means tissues!
Ordinarily I would not mind to much, but tomorrow is our annual trip to the south coast!
I have been sales shopping and bought some clothes and a new pair of shoes....
Why shoes... well on Monday I broke out my winter boots, they are a pair I have had for years and never had a problem. Monday however they killed my feet! my left little toe is a blister, not has a blister but the whole bottom of my little toe is a blister so I have needed to buy some new shoes that look pretty and will accommodate my injury!
despite all of this...................I am still looking forward to our trip...........a chance to meet with friends........a chance to relax........to be beside the seaside........to stay in a wonderful B&B with a sea view.
There is something quite magical about the south coast.......this will be our 3rd time this year that we have been down. this weekend will give us a chance to play with the camera's to unwind its just bliss. (I know I have just come back from holiday)
here are some highlights of why we love it so....
These pics are, Brighton, Lewes and Bexhill on Sea...we are headed for Eastbourne......
I am going to sit here with my tissues and try and get as much Beachams inside me so I can taste the food and drink!
hope you all have a good weekend....

I must have the most boring blog in the world
I have decided that I must have the most boring blog in the world, thanks to the new interface I can now see how many people view my blog.
last night I forgot to share with facebook and twitter.
my blog was published.
no-one looked at it and I lost a follower!

a night in on my own....
LSP, is away with work so tonight Its just me, the pets and YD.
How do I spend my night on my own?
taking photo's of the pets and eating prunes !
yes seriously.
I don't cope well with being on my own, I become anti productive, tonight I did make a Thai Yellow curry, for YD and I... was yum.
I have then been sat watching soaps, internet window shopping and eating prunes and custard.
