Don't forget the lyrics...

I was going to write a post about Saturday nights and how they change as they get older.
However, I have been diverted. I was going to use a lyric from David Bowie's Drive in Saturday.

As I read them on-line, I realised, I have been singing completely the wrong lyrics all of my life.
I then started to look at more lyrics and realised that I had been getting them wrong as well...

Which has brought me back to the main idea of what I was going to post about..Saturday nights...

In my teens Saturday nights were all about going out, socialising, drinking.....
In my twenties, it was about recovering from a day with the children where we had been playing etc.
Now I am in my mid 30's the children occupy themselves or get entertained by a short hop round the shops or a coffee in a coffee shop.

What has become of the Saturday night?

Looking up stuff on the internet, catching up on I-player, reading blogs, playing scrabble with LSP, facebook,  tv,

now the dark nights have drawn in I want to be doing something with my hands, however. my carpel tunnel syndrome is playing up a lot at the moment. I cant manage more than 2 rows of knitting without my hands locking up, its so frustrating!

I have so many pre Christmas jobs to do as well....

We need new stockings this year.

For the first time We will not be doing stockings for the children this year.

They are doing each other's,

so we need 6 stockings.

1 for OD
1 for YD
1 for SE
1 for LSP
1 for the dogs
oh yes and 1 for me.

I have picked up some lovely fabric.
from IKEA...

I just need to work out the sizes.

hmm.. I have just worked out what I do on Saturday nights...

I relax, I think, I plan, I do very little...

Is that such a bad thing.. my life is busy, my work fries my brain,
what about you??
