Today I was back up to the doctor again... I will now not be back at work till the 26th April! I am looking forward to going back. I miss my workmates a lot!!!
I have a lovely friend who lives near my doctor and she invited me for a cup of tea following my appointment.
She is a lovely person whom we have known for years and although we communicate often (through the magic that is facebook) we do not get together very often.
As well as being a wonderfully warm and lovely woman she also has exquisite taste and does not find it odd that I ask to take photo's of her house while we are having tea.
I have been having problems with blogger in the past week. Blogs not appearing in Dashboard.
Yesterday's blog feathers-and-flowers did not appear in dashboard despite trying to republish!

This is post number 100!!!!
So I thought I would mark it with a small give-away.
I searched through my fabric box and found one of my vintage pillow cases. It is a lovely soft fabric and is a bit faded through regular washing over the year's.
(I will iron it before dispatch)
It will be a random draw that I will draw on Friday 22nd April. As it is small and light I am willing to post overseas.

Saphy, thanks so much for the sweet comment on my spring vignette! What a lovely friend to invite you for tea! I often wonder if those who do not blog understand our obsession with capturing seemingly ordinary daily occurrences!
I have had the exact same problem as you with photos displaying sideways. It is always the photos that I take "vertically" with my camera rather than the normal "horizontal." What I have found is that when I save the photos to my photo software, if I rotate them to the LEFT before saving them (so they look sideways in my program), they are upright when I put them on my blog. Depending on which way you hold your camera when taking 'vertical' photos, you might need to rotate yours to the RIGHT before saving. Play around with that and see if it helps! I'm sorry you are having that problem, but I have to say that I'm glad to know I'm not the only one this has been happening to!

i'm glad you're bold enough to take pictures when and where you feel inspired. there are times when i'm at peoples houses or out for the day and see potential pictures but am cameraless and always regret it! i love her clock. one day i wish to have one of my own just like it. when i have a house with a spot right for it! (we're a little too small at the moment!)
i do like your pillow case. i would use it for a cot quilt i'm planning for my mum. since becoming a grandma (my sister's kids, none of my own yet) she has turned her spare room into one set for her daughter and grandkids. trimmed in pinks, mauves and florals i can't wait to create something to have my touch in her gorgeous house!

Oooh I love the pillowcase too! I love everyone else's suggestions, my is very mundane in comparison: I am making a quilt from purely salvaged fabrics, it's taking me a long time and is purely a labour of love. I aim for every fabric I use to have a story, a reason for being there. Your pillowcase would represent my online community of support... such an important part of keeping going... Glad you got back to the Dr's, but not glad the headache is still aching xx
Hi Saphy. Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. I try to take my camera everywhere with me and it is easier if I have the compact one, especially in someone else's home. However, the larger camera definitely takes better pics. I do hope you get your headaches etc sorted out. Have you tried yoga, relaxation or any other alternative remedies, there are so many I am sure something would be of help to you. Good Luck. Ann x
Oh I had pillow cases similar to that growing up, that takes me back. I would make a laundry bag with it. I am constantly moving up and down the stairs with the laundry basket and it is pretty treacherous. So a nice draw string bag for the laundry would be just perfect.
I'm pleased you get to go back to work soon and congratulations on your 100th Post!
I'd probably use for a cushion or maybe use it in an applique.
I find it so hard to come across vintage fabric so fingers crossed very tightly, tis very pretty xx
