love is in the air.....

Love is in the air, I don't know if  its the lighter mornings or the flowers in abundance but love is defiantly in the air this spring!!

lots of people around me are having weddings/partnerships planing weddings/partnerships and there is certainly money being spent in some jeweller's.

I am lucky that I have been asked to help plan some of the up and coming nuptials!!

Soon there will be magazines and brochures helping to decorate the hobby room.

Its very exciting!

Weddings are such wonderful occasion's all the flower's and the dresses the venue's the people. its all wonderful.

I have been having a wee little browse around the net...

its all to beautiful..... time to dust of the planner and the spreadsheets.........Spring is here!!

one wet foot.

After a grotty day of feeling tired with a day long headache which proved  resistant to paracetamol, what better way to blow the cobwebs away than to take the dogs for a sunset dog walk.

LSP and I did a quick change, hooked the dogs up and away we went.

The dogs loved the time off the lead running around the field's.

The real fun started when we put the lead's back on...... The spaniel is blind and more than a bit daft.

He managed to find every bit of twig and branch to wrap his lead around. At one point he seemed to be dragging half a bush through a stream with no chance of rescue. Once we managed to disentangle him we walked through the boggiest and wettest field in Wiltshire. I was not in wellies! I tried to keep to the highest ground until one point where I needed to take a leap across a big boggy, marshy and wet puddle. I gathered all of my strength and leapt. I nearly made it as well. All of me apart from my right foot. my now soggy and muddy right foot. At this point we were the furthest away from the house. I had to take my soggy foot all the way back with me. However It succeeded in blowing away the cobwebs and I forgot about my headache for a while (its back now).  The sunset through the tree's was nice.

Home to chili and hot chocolate.....happy Monday everyone!

Shopping day!

Today we managed to get out of bed. Which was a good start on yesterday, Although I feel the benefit of having a beddles day.

The plan for this weekend was to go shopping with our girls, we have a wedding to attend soon and wanted to get their outfits sorted early. (avoids last minute panics).

We took a drive to Bicester outlet village.

As well as the shopping I love the sculpture...

Having lunch at Pret.... Always the Italian chicken Salad....

But the best thing is the CK shop...

I was only allowed to go after the girls bought their dress's, which they did and they both look amazing !! Its great to spend the day with our girls especially as they are both so busy, its hard to get a day when we are all together.

I went in for a bag but they had none I wanted today :( however, you cannot leave CK empty handed, can you?

2 tea towels and a yard of fabric.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Camp Beddles.

One advantage of having grown up children, is that you can have lazy day's. Today was a lazy day.

LSP is still unwell so we cancelled our lunch plan's and retreated back to bed.

We prepared ourselves with book's, magazines, a stack of DVD's and 2 laptop's.

We even managed lunch in bed......

Yes I was feeling brave and we managed big cups of tomato soup in bed without any spillage's.

I really enjoyed the chance to have some R&R, its been a busy week in work and I am very very tired. So the chance to kick back and have a very very lazy day. no going out, no rushing around, the housework can wait till tomorrow. We had some time for us!

As you know I love our bedroom, its such a pretty room, here are some more of its elements.....

Hope you all had a great Saturday!!!

(beddles is how we tell the dog its time to go upstairs)

Happy Unbirthday !

Today, is the eve of my daughter's birthday.

However, tomorrow she will be out painting the town red with her pall's so we had our family meal tonight.

Dinner was a thainese.... (fusion) banquet!

Unfortunately LSP is still feeling very unwell so there were only 5 of us at dinner, with LSP tucked up on the Sofa.

As it is midweek and I have been dashing around all day, and what with my headache last night. I was not capable of cooking from scratch so dinner was courtesy of M&S, Including the cake I am ashamed to say.

Happy Unbirthday

No blog tomorrow as I will be out doing a good deed for the evening.

Headache!!

I have a headache. This leads me to be more grumpy then usual for a Wednesday night. I have 2 very intense days at work ahead on the back of having 3 intense days behind me!

I also managed to leave my camera at home today!!! so all in all not a good day for blog creation...

Instead I have scrolled through my camera album and found 4 nice pictures I took on a sunny winter's day.

They are not your chocolate box pictures, they are more urban in style. enjoy!

There is a tree in the kitchen!!!

I sent LSp a text last week with items to pick up on the way home from work.

It was the usual, bread, milk, apples etc..

I was somewhat surprised to be presented with this.......

Owing to the weather and my lurgy, It did not get planted at the weekend (it also did not make it onto the to do list for some reason).

It has even started to bud,

So I best get out in the garden and find a place for it..... next door have apple tree's so there is a good chance it will fruit unlike our barren pear tree!.

My thoughts have been turning to the garden and my plan's for this coming year, I am defiantly going to put in a new bed along the left hand side of the lawn.

The good thing about this bed is that it is south facing, it will be a traditional strip bed alongside the lawn and will have a mix of rose's,  perennials, bulbs and some climber's.

I am thinking of making it very colourful the bed at the pond is full of blue's and whites, but I now want a burst of some fab plant's in a riot of colour's.

I am looking forward to all the planning and planting.....
